So, after my extended hiatus, I have finally returned. I don't know if that really means much though. Overall, this whole thing is rather odd. I re-read quite a few of my journal entries, to discover them for the most part un-commented and most likely unread by others. Which leads me to question why I put all of it up here. I don't know, why, but from reading them, it sounds like I was looking for something, some kind've reaction or re-assurance. I don't know. Needless to say, I didn't really get it. Overall, I don't seem to have made any progress on really anything since then. If anything, I've lost ground. Eh, whatever. I'm putting this up here, I hope someone reads it, cause otherwise I would just keep a journal in a notebook or something.

What have I been up to? Well, very much, and at the same time very little. Times have been turbulent, but decent. Big highs and bigger lows. The annoying part is none of it has really meant anything. But, I'm moving along, as always, just trying not to get swept under and enjoying the beautiful snow. I love winter more than any other month. It has more romance than the nicest spring day and has a feeling like a new begging, a chance to start over. Which, I think is what I need, because I seem to keep repeating the same things, both good and bad. So, I need to break it up somehow, clean the slate.

But enough about me and my depressing musings, there was a reason I came back to DA. I wrote a short story in creative writing class. In essence, its a continuation of a quick draft I wrote some months earlier, but highly revised and re-written. You could call it my first attempt at "serious" writing, with much attention payed to following those pesky rules of grammar and structure etc. I think its alright, but a few of my classmates liked it, and it has a couple good bits, both thought provoking and guaranteed to give a chuckle or two. Oh, and another thing, which I found ironic. I had named the main character Roger. After reading the story, my classmates and teacher insisted I change it to Calvin, because despite my attempts to distance myself from the character, they said you could not deny that it was me. lol. Oh well. Give it a good read would you? Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got to attempt to pull my GPA out of its horrible recent nose dive. I dropped a letter in like 3 classes. Hopefully I can get back some lost ground, but I have my doubts.
